rather than play online or with a friend on the same computer, why not add play against friend in the same room with his/her own computer (via bluetooth f.i.)

That seems pretty sad. If my friend is in the same room as me, I would much rather play chess with them face-to-face than screen-to-screen.
After all, given the choice, wouldn't most people prefer to have sex that involves physical contact over some kind of cybersex / phone sex?
